Dr. Dana Holwitt is a board-certified general surgeon who specializes in breast surgery and breast surgical oncology. After graduating cum laude from the prestigious Colgate University, she earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.
She completed her residency in general surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and her fellowship in Breast Surgical Oncology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
Over the years, Dr. Holwitt has been honored with multiple notable awards. She is a three-year recipient of NJ Top Docs and has received the NJBiz Healthcare Heroes Award in Women’s Health and Wellness. She has been invited to present her work at the American Society of Breast Surgeons Annual Meeting and was keynote speaker at the Young Survival Coalition Annual Dinner. Additionally, her research has been published in reputable journals such as the American Journal of Surgery.
As a breast cancer survivor herself, Dr. Holwitt is committed to a patient-centric approach, providing compassion and support to her patients as they navigate their breast cancer journey. She is dedicated to treating patients as individuals, helping them to reach treatment decisions in a caring and understanding environment.
